About the Wood Creations
Combining Traditional and Cutting-edge Methods
At Midmorning Wood Creations, on the one hand I rely on tried-and-true methods of turning and preserving wood. On the other, I try and push the edge of segmentation and assembly to create non-traditional results. All pieces are designed and created by me.
The Process
Each functional art piece is made from non-threatened wood species, and many pieces include wood that fell to disease or nature and was recovered by me and my family. All food-related pieces are sealed with multiple coats of heat-treated food-grade walnut oil and protective wax.
Quality and Uniqueness
With each purchase, I include the wood type and finishing method, and can often tell a story about the origin of the wood. Custom designs are available--just ask!
